ASHI/hsi CPR Hands-Only Event
The CPR Hands-Only event is a community-focused awareness and training activity designed to teach the public the essential steps of performing lifesaving cardiopulmonary resuscitation without mouth‑to‑mouth ventilation. The event typically includes short, practical demonstrations led by certified instructors, allowing participants to practice chest compressions on manikins and gain confidence in responding to cardiac emergencies.
The goal of the event is to increase bystander readiness, promote rapid action during sudden cardiac arrest, and empower community members with a simple, effective technique proven to significantly improve survival rates. Hands‑only CPR training is accessible to all ages and requires no prior medical background, making it an ideal public engagement and health‑promotion activity.
